SPECIAL ABILITIES

ADVANTAGES:

ATTRACTIVE - Sensor has a habit of turning heads where ever she goes, regardless of how she appears, she's just damn attractive.

POKER FACE - Sensor is totally unflappable when it comes to keeping a straight face or holding on to information. No one knows what she is thinking or how she is feeling. In some cases, Sensor can also evade lie detectors and keep her body in sync even when nervous.

RICH FRIENDS - Be they friends of the family, school friends or even past-enemies, Sensor has acquaintances who in turn have access or ownership of capital. This capital can be held in cash, business or property.

POWERS:

ILLUSION CASTING - Sensor can create realistic holographic images that have apparent solidity/seem absolutely real to all five senses. These Illusions can be mechanically detected and recorded by such means as photography or television. That separates this Power from the psionic, image-generating Power called Hallucinations, which produces images directly in the subject's mind and cannot affect mechanical senses.

The Illusion can take any size or appearance Sensor desires and is limited only by her imagination. The Illusion can be a realistic simulation, a fanciful creation direct from Sensor's mind, or an abstract display of light. Sensor is playing with light itself and can create anything that is visible. Since most people depend on vision to gain information on their surroundings, this Power presents the awesome ability to apparently alter the nature of reality.

Sensor can cast her Illusions anywhere within her range, though she must be able to clearly see the area where the Illusion is forming if she wants to make it at all realistic. The normal limit for unaided vision is roughly 50 yards. Beyond that range Sensor can no longer clearly see her Illusion's surroundings and thus cannot alter the Illusion to reflect things going on around the Illusion.

If Sensor is unconcerned about maintaining the reality of her Illusions, this limit can be ignored. She does not even need to be able to see the Illusion as it forms. Such uncontrolled Illusions appear as transparent, free floating apparitions. If the Illusion takes the form of a living being, viewers might see it as a ghost or other phantom form. If she possesses a means of extending the range of her senses, she can maintain the realism of her Illusion

Illusions last as long as Sensor concentrates on maintaining their existence. Mods are free to determine how long she can maintain her concentration in a given circumstance. Breaking Sensor's concentration abruptly terminates the Illusion, while merely getting distracted causes the Illusion to begin to lose realism (drift, lose detail, become translucent, and so on). Since Illusion-Casting includes the Power of Light Control, Illusions can provide a measure of protection against light-based attacks. An Illusory tent would provide protection against both infrared and ultraviolet light, thus keeping Sensor cool and safe from sunburn. It does not provide protection against any of the other ways Mother Nature has of affecting us. That Illusory tent would be drafty, cold, and flimsy.

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

ACROBATICS - Gymnastic movement. Sensor can tumble, swing from ropes, walk across thin beams, and leap through windows.

FINANCE - Capitalism at its finest.

LORE - The science of studying a culture.

NEGOTIATION - The art of resolving disputes and/or reaching agreements between two or more parties.

DISADVANTAGES:

CULTURAL SNOB - Sensor despises pop culture, and doesn’t relate well to people that enjoy it.

EQUIPMENT

UNIFORM:

Sensor's uniform is surprisingly simple. Her top ends at her midriff with long sleeves, and her pants and cape match. The entire outfit is purple.

EQUIPMENT:

FLIGHT RING: Standard Legion Issue. The Legion of Super-Heroes' flight ring was originally designed by the Invisible Kid, he noted the unique anit-gravity properties of Coluan waste materials which he fashioned into the first of the Legion Flight Rings. Since their creation, ring has been refined so as to grant the wearer the following abilities:

  • ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION - offers protection agains environments that are hostile toward or unable to support sentient life. It protects up to a temperature of around five thousand degrees (a star) or as low as near Absolute Zero (space). It also allows it's wearer to breathe in an airless environment (vacuum, under water) and can filter harmful or alien substances.

  • FLIGHT: The primary aspect of the ring is it's ability to grant it's wearer the ability of wingless flight, based upon the natural or enhanced speed of the ring-wearer. The ring creates a personalized anti-gravity field around the wearer which allows self-propulsion through open space (hence, they are able to function in the vacuum of outer space). As a result, faster Legionnaires will be able to fly faster, and those who already are capable of natural flight will find an enhancement to their speed.
  • HYPER-SPACE COMMUNICATOR: allowing Legionnaires to communicate across interstellar distances.
  • SUB-SPACE TRANSMITTER BEACON: allowing for Legion tracking equipment to track the Ring anywhere in known space.
  • UNIVERSAL TRANSLATOR: allow two way communication between the Legionnaires and other races, translating the Legion's Interlac into the other race's native tongue and vice-versa. However, languages that do not share the same language 'tree' as Interlac are not able to be translated.

The Rings themselves seem to be self-sustaining, the half-life of the dense Valorum having not yet been determined.

OMNICOM: Standard Legion Issue. The Omnicom is a communication and information-display device originally developed and supplied by Brande Industries. All current Legionnaire Standard Issue Omnicoms are made by Brande Industries. With 5,000 viewing channels, a full audio-visual interface for recording, lockable file storage, environmental scans for safety and life signs, simple genetic scans, the sprocking Encyclopedia Galactica! Plus it's automation tools great for filing paperwork.

RESOURCES:

LoSH MEMBERSHIP: Being a member of the LSH definitely has its benefits. For the duration of a Legionnaires active membership, they are provided a handsome stipend equal to that of an average executive. In addition, they're provided with a private apartment, quarters at the Legion HQ, a food allowance and other reasonable expenses. Full medical care is provided, full access to training facilities and equipment, transportation, all of this compliments of their benefactor, industrialist RJ Brande.

LoSH STIPEND: Every member of the LoSH is, for financial reasons and purposes of benefit distribution, considered to be an employee of Brande Industries and draws a very comfortable salary on which to live on.

TRANSPORTATION:

Legion cruisers

Transmatter gates

CONTACTS

CONTACTS:

LEGIONNAIRES: Each member of the team knows they can rely on their friends in time of need. As almost every Legionnaire is from a different world, they form an extensive information and support network.

ENEMIES:

FATAL FIVE: Originally a gang of super-criminals assembled by the Legion of Super-Heroes to help them destroy the Sun-Eater threatening Earth, the Emerald Empress, Mano, The Persuader, and Validus, led by Tharok, subsequently clashed with the Legion many times.

  1. EMERALD EMPRESS: Sarya of the planet Venegar (referred to simply as 'the Empress') was recruited to assist the Legion of Super-Heroes when the U.P. was menaced by the Sun-Eater. Once the Sun-Eater was defeated, she joined Tharok, Validus, Mano and the Persuader to form the Fatal Five.
  2. MANO: A native of the polluted world Angtu, Mano is a mutant, born with the power to disintegrate anything that he touches with his right hand, with his "anti-matter touch".
  3. THAROK: Leader of the Fatal Five, originally he was a small-time crook, whose body was partial disintegrated and replaced with a mechanical half which greatly boosted his intelligence dramatically, but left his evil tendencies unchecked. Tharok's cyborg brain also allowed him to control Validus, the mindless monster member of the Fatal Five.
  4. VALIDUS: The near-mindless giant of the Fatal Five, he was named by Tharok after the lightning spirit known in Winathian folklore.

McCauley: Leland McCauley, Industrialist & underworld financier

HISTORY

The Legion has attracted its share of distinguished applicants, but its prestige was raised an extra notch when it was joined by royalty including Wilimena Morgana Daergina Annaxandra Projectra Velorya Vauxhall of Orando.

When R. J. Brande formed his Legion of Super-Heroes, Wilimena set off to join their ranks. She was certain that her position would assure her membership, but she has had difficulty adapting.

As Sensor, she has learned to use her abilities to help others, rather than for her own amusement. In time, people may see more to her than just a spoiled Princess.
