PERSONALITY:

Upon first meeting Marcus, some people tend to stay far away from him as possible as he comes off initially as aggressive, honest to the point of being blunt, even gruff with some people. However, upon spending time with him, it can easily be seen that he is an intelligent, caring, and even charismatic person.

However, while he is loyal to those he considers his friends and loevd ones, it can also be seen that Marcus still keeps up some of a barrier between him and everyone else. His childhood experiences with foster homes have led him to believe that if he makes a deep connection with anyone, even someone like Jen or his adoptive parents, they would end up hurting him and/or leaving him in the end.

In terms of his sexuality, Marcus is definitely not ashamed about being gay, but that doesn't mean he would shout it out to the world either. To him, the only ones who need to know, if he feels there is a reason to in the first place, are those he is attracted to, although if anyone asked him point-blank, he would be honest about it. However, because of his fears of getting hurt, he's had a ton of amazing sexual encounters, but nothing that could lead to a deep relationship, even though he truly wants to be in one, but would never admit to it....

POWERS:

TACTILE TELEKINESIS - Marcus has an invisible telekinetic field surrounding him at all times, but is permeable enough for him to touch things and feels the sensation of touch as well as eat and drink. By touching things or people, he can cover them with the field and thus move and manipulate them with his mind. He can manipulate up to half a ton, but there is potential of him being able to move heavier things with time.

FLIGHT - Marcus can move himself since he is always within the field, allowing him to fly up to 50-60 mph, although he would slow down if he is carrying someone without using the field to lift them.

ENHANCED DURABILITY - The telekinetic field does give Marcus a degree of enhanced durability, but it doesn't deflect any of the sensations he would receive from the attack. (IE: He would feel the bullets hitting the field.)

MANIPULATION - From his psychiatry classes and from his own personal experiences, Marcus knows how to manipulate people to get what he wants, whether it happens by using his body or a few charming or threatening words.

PERFORMING - Years of dancing at the clubs has made Marcus a skilled dancer.

PSYCHIATRY - While not an expert at it yet, Marcus has gained some skill in psychiatry from his college courses.

DISADVANTAGES:

DARK SECRET - The darkest secrets in Marcus's life, at least to him, are who are his parents and where does he come from. While he is grateful for his adoptive parents, he still seeks to find out the truth about himself whenever and however he could.

FLASHBACKS - Before he got adopted by the Talbots, Marcus was transferred between many foster homes, some of which abused him physically and/or emotionally. Whenever he sees someone physically abuse another, such as a man hitting his girlfriend or child, it makes him flashback to those times which make him more angry than anything else these days.

MORAL CODE - Despite having an aggressive outlook and personality sometimes Marcus is a caring individual and would do whatever it took to make sure no one died, whether they were an innocent or a villain while minimizing property damage the best he can.

RECURRING NIGHTMARES - Since he was a child, Marcus has had recurring nightmares that leave him awake in the middle of the night in a cold sweat. He usually doesn't remember much, but what he does remember are images of creatures he can't describe and a feeling of great physical pain as well as sadness, like something was stolen from him when he wakes up.

SECRET IDENTITY - Except for Jennifer (See Contacts), no one who knows Marcus knows his secret identity and he would do whatever it takes to keep it that way to protect them from any danger.

UNIFORM:

Marcus's costume consists of an open black leather vest with matching pants, boots and fingerless gloves with a black bandanna covering the lower half of his face.

CONTACTS:

JENNIFER CATHAWAY - Jennifer is the only person who can really say she is Marcus's best friend, having known him since he was adopted by the Talbots, her next door neighbors. She inadvertently found out Marcus was moonlighting as a superhero one night when she was pulling an all-nighter studying and Marcus flew through the window, thinking she was asleep. Since then, Jen has continued to support her friend however she could. Majoring in business, she's a skilled fashion designer as well as skilled with reading tarot cards.

GABRIELLE LOPEZ - An ordinary social worker with an extraordinary heart. She did whatever she could to make sure Marcus was placed in a good home and as soon as she sensed problems, she pulled him out, even when it put her job at risk. Even after he was adopted by the Talbots, she has still come by to check on him every now and then. When he asked one time why she would do so, she told Marcus that she spent a lot of work to make sure he turned out okay in a good home, so even if her work was done, she would still check on him since she considered him like a member of her own family.

RELATIVES:

ANDREA AND DEREK TALBOT (Adopted Parents) - When Marcus was brought into the childless couple's home, they just saw him as another foster child and Marcus saw them as another family he'd have to leave within six months. However, none of them anticipated the quick and deep bond that would be formed between the child and the couple. Within four and a half months and with Marcus's approval, the Talbots became his adopted parents and continued to love Marcus as if he were their actual son.
