A thousand years into the future, the stories and example set by Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman have inspired a new generation of heroes. Young people from various worlds have joined together to honor the legends of the past, and to protect the United Planets as The Legion of Super-Heroes.

It started with the dream of one man. R. J. Brande was one of the wealthiest men in the galaxy. But when killers were hired to assassinate the successful industrialist, three young people appeared and put an end to their plan. Rok Krinn, of Braal, who possesses magnetic powers. Imra Ardeen, of Titan, a high level telepath. And Garth Ranzz, of Winath, endowed with the ability to generate lightning.

Impressed by the spirit and cooperation of these three, Brande set out to make an example of them. To turn them into the symbol of unity that the United Planets was lacking. They became the founding members of the Legion of Super-Heroes. Quickly after the founding, others joined and bolstered the ranks of the team, each offering something new to the team. They have become the heroes of the 31st Century.

Now, a year after their founding, the Legion is once again seeking new members to join them in their mission of peace. Those chosen will face great evil and danger, but are sure to be remembered for their courage and sacrifice.
